Linda J. Pail, 90, formerly of Murrysville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Redstone Highlands, Greensburg after a brief illness. Born Linda Mae on March 13, 1934, in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Lee S. and Dora (Billups) Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gerald Sidney Pail, her eldest granddaughter, Elizabeth Claire Lee, whom she cherished and adored, in-laws, Clarence J. and Roberta V. Pail and brother-in-law, Daniel R. Pail.
Linda was a long-time resident of Murrysville and an active member of the First United Methodist Church where she served as a preschool teacher for many years. After graduating from Grove City College, she was a teacher of English before marrying and raising her family. Linda enjoyed reading, hosting holidays, spending time with her grandchildren as well as playing bridge and dominoes with her friends.
Linda is survived by four daughters, Cindy (Richard) Lee of Greensburg, Roberta Pail of New Stanton, Dora (Christopher) Morelli of Greensburg and Jennifer (Travis) Tomb of Jeannette; grandchildren, Sydney, Emma & Dylan Tomb and Alyssa & Nicholas Morelli. She is also survived by her brother, Lee B. (Cindy) Johnson of La Habra, CA, sister-in-law, Delores L. Pail of Midland, MI and two nieces and eight nephews. Respecting her wishes, memorial service and interment at Jefferson Memorial Park, Pittsburgh, will be private. Arrangements handled by Hart Funeral Home Inc., Murrysville, PA.
