Loretta M. (Mannella) Ferriero

Loretta M. Ferriero, 97 formerly of Regent Square passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, September 1, 2021.  She was born October 28, 1923 in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Guy and Mary Fleishauer Mannella.  In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Ferriero Sr. in 2017; and four brothers, William, Albert, James, and Vincent Mannella.  Loretta was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Wilkinsburg for many years.  She loved baking and cooking for her family.  Her greatest love was her grandchildren, her family, and her granddogs who will miss her dearly.  Loretta is survived by her two children, Joseph Jr. (Deborah) Ferriero of Valencia, and Lori (Kevin) Jakiela of Murrysville; four grandchildren, Joseph J. (Elizabeth Ungerman) Ferriero, Daniel Ferriero, Halle Jakiela, and Justin Jakiela; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Visitation Friday, September 3, 2021 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Hart Funeral Home Inc., Murrysville.  Entombment will be private with Loretta’s family in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Monroeville.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital  (www.stjude.org) in Loretta's name
