Lori Livingston Obituary

Lori P. Livingston, 63, of Murrysville, passed away February 4, 2026, at her home.  She was born on November 28, 1962, in Hawthorne, California, daughter of the late Louis Roger and Sue A. (Ward) Rubin.

Lori’s life was truly characterized by her brilliant light of kindness and warmth that so many commented on when meeting her. She is especially memorable for her dedication to her loved ones and community. Lori's early childhood was spent outside with neighborhood friends playing baseball in the street, making mud tacos, leading bike parades, and hopscotching until the streetlamps came on. She was a proud Brownie Scout and loved to help her sister turn dinner leftovers into culinary concoctions for their little brother to drink. Lori was an early fundraiser for the American Cancer Society as she accompanied her Grandma Ward on door-to-door crusades to collect donations. She learned to play clarinet, marching in parades and performing at concerts. For 19 years she worked at the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts as a Human Resources Analyst while simultaneously earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of La Verne. Lori went on to have many accomplishments such as successfully opening the food pantry at Crossroads Presbyterian Church, becoming a leader of the Children and Worship program at
Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church and working for First Presbyterian Church. She devoted time to being a beloved “homeroom mom” and participating in the PTO at the school. She was a passionate handbell ringer in the Newlonsburg Church handbell choir. Moreover, Lori would jump at each opportunity to volunteer her time and love to anything. Lori enjoyed watching movies of all kinds, listening to a lot of Bobby Sherman music, playing games, travelling, and most of all doing these activities with friends and family. Lori will always be remembered for her radiant personality and joy that she seemed to give endlessly.

Lori is survived by her loving husband, Robert “Jeff” Livingston; her two children, Christina “Finn” Livingston, and Katherine “Katie” Livingston; a brother, James (Patricia) Rubin; a sister, Deborah (Randall) Cregut; a sister-in-law, Jennifer (Stanley) Rojer; a stepmother, Dorothy (Gary) Hershey; goddaughter Melanie (Chase) Haman; and many more nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

A Celebration of Love for Lori will be held on February 14th (11:00am-2:00pm) at Laird Hall in Murrysville. Charitable donations may be made in her memoriam to the Children and Worship Program or Hope for Others tissue donation program.
