Margrete Rebecca "Becky" (Shannon) Smith

Margrete Rebecca “Becky” Smith, 84, of Murrysville, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 5, 2024. She was born July 8,1939 in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Clinton Q. and Ruth L. Sarver Shannon. In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by four brothers: Warren, Lonnie, Roger, and Louis Shannon. Becky was spunky and spectacular. She enjoyed bowling with her ladies, socializing at bingo, and winning on slot machines. However, she most cherished her time as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and family matriarch.

She was a member of Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church, Murrysville. She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Larry Paul Smith; a daughter, Kimberly (Michael) Miskevics; a son, Larry Douglas Smith; four grandchildren, Stephanie Smith, Corey (Zach) Miskevics, Brett Smith, and Shannon (Matt) Brozewicz. She is also survived by a brother, Leithan Shannon, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Hart Funeral Home Inc., Murrysville.
