Maria (Rizzi) Toscano

Maria Toscano 81, of Jeannette, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021.  She was born July 4, 1940 in Sannicandro di Bari, Italy, daughter of the late Luigi and Rose Pavia Rizzi.  In addition to her parents, Maria was preceded in death by two sisters, Salveria Balenzano, and Angela Rizzi; five brothers, Frank, Ralph, Dominic, John and Pietro Rizzi.  Maria was a member of St. John Baptist de La Salle Church, Delmont.  Prior to retirement, she owned and operated Toscano Garden Center for over 40 years along side her husband.  She treated everyone that came to the Garden Center like family, often feeding customers. She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Vito Toscano of Jeannette; a son, Joe (Shannon) Toscano; and a daughter, Angela Toscano.  She also survived by a grandchild, Alyssa Maria Toscano; and numerous nieces and nephews. Maria was a kind, caring, strong and loving woman. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.  Maria loved her close friends and they loved her. She treated everyone like they were her own, loved to cook, and was the life of the party. Visitation Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Hart Funeral Home Inc., Murrysville.  Parting Prayers will be held in the Funeral Home on Friday at 9:30 a.m. with a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass to follow at St. John Baptist de La Salle Church, Delmont.  Entombment will take place in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
