Marjorie M. Landfried, 95, of Murrysville, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025, at Redstone Highlands in Murrysville. She was born on August 29, 1929, daughter of the late Clifford James and Helen B. (Page) McCullough. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mark H. Landfried, her son, Ronald Landfried, her brother, Robert McCullough and his wife Sally McCullough, and a sister, Patricia Brogdon.
Marjorie learned to play the piano as a young girl, and many churches were blessed with her talents throughout the years as a pastor’s wife. She continued to share her gift after they moved into Redstone Highlands, where she helped organize and play for chapel services for 22 years. One of her personal highlights was when she was presented an award for her many years of volunteer service at Redstone.
Known for her kindness and gentle spirit, Marjorie found time to visit residents who were new or were in a higher level of care in the facility. She will be remembered with great fondness there.
Marjorie was a great seamstress and crafter. Over the years, she made countless gifts for family and friends.
But by far Marjorie’s greatest love was spending time with her family.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Karen (Dan) Hewitt; her daughters-in-law, Linda Lumsden and Bebe Guill; a sister, Martha (Peter) Mathews; brother-in-law, Chuck Brogdon, her three grandchildren, Jessalee (Aaron) Landfried, Sam (Aiegera) Landfried, and Jenna Hewitt; her three great-grandchildren, William, Ronen, and Ella, and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Marjorie will be held at the chapel at Redstone Highlands in Murrysville on Marjorie‘s birthday, August 29, 2025, at 2 pm. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Redstone Highlands in Marjorie’s name.
