Marjorie Isabelle (Dible) Sheffel

Marjorie Isabelle Dible Sheffel, age 95 of Murrysville, peacefully gave up her battle with Alzheimer’s on June 17, 2026. She was born August 25, 1930, to Mable Catherine Heid Dible and Harry Robert Dible. Her sister Martha joined the family 2 years later.

Margie was a proud alumni of Clarion University where she was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. She met her husband, Richard Lloyd Sheffel, there and they were married on August 23, 1952. She taught 2nd grade until welcoming twins, Leslie Jene and Richard Dean, the day of their 6th wedding anniversary. They completed their family with another son, Bruce Alan, four and a half years later. Widowed young after only 35 years of marriage Margie became an active member of the Murrysville Garden Club, a volunteer with the Pittsburgh Symphony, and an avid traveler with her lifelong friend Dona. She loved her family beach vacations, spending many summers at Bethany Beach, DE and Outer Banks, NC.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Rick; her sister, Martha Dible Finley; and nephew, Rob Finley. She is survived by her children, Leslie Sheffel Hood (Jim), and Bruce Alan Sheffel (Lynn); daughter-in-law, Gina Sheffel; brother-in-law, Frank Finley; and niece, Amy Finley Estey (John). Grandchildren: Ashley Hood, Courtney Hood (Zac), Tori DiSilvestri (Matt), Sheri Stauffer (Tyler), Zach Sheffel (Madison), Ricky Sheffel, Mara Sheffel and Madelyn Sheffel. Great grandchildren: Lyla, Ava, Emilia, Alexis, Cayden, Bennett, Oliver, and Rhett.

Visitation for Margie will be Friday, June 19, 2026, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Hart Funeral Home, Inc., Murrysville.  A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the funeral home with Chaplain Drew DeCrease as officiant.  Interment will then follow at William Penn Memorial Cemetery in Churchill.
