Marvin "Ty" Radcliff, 83 of Murrysville, PA, passed away on March 10th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 6th, 1941 in Thomaston, Georgia, and resided in Murrysville for 55 years. Ty will be dearly missed by his wife of 60 years, Judith "Judy" (Brown) Radcliff from Penn Hills; three daughters, Jennifer Lockhart (William Lockhart), Anne Katherine "Katie" Policaro (John Policaro), Sarah Radcliff Harydzak (Eric Harydzak), granddaughter Emily Verner Rettinger (Benjamin Rettinger), grandson Jack Policaro, and granddaughter Lucy Policaro. He was a loving friend to all and never met a stranger.
Ty had a long successful career as a Steamfitter in the Local 449 Union. He loved serving his church family at Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church where he taught 8th grade Sunday School class for 33 years. He went on numerous Mission Trips to Haiti and other places in need. He was always in perpetual motion with a smile on his face. He enjoyed sailing with his family on his Hobie Cat at Lake Moraine and spending summer vacations at Bethany Beach, Delaware. He loved horseback riding with his daughters and granddaughter. He loved riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle with his "buddies." He taught all his children, grandchildren, and neighborhood children how to ski. In retirement he loved fishing with the nextdoor neighbor boys, Cole and Ashton and showing off on the golf course. Ty loved life and his friends and family, but he had no greater love than his love for Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior. His life was a true testament to his faith.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Loaves and Fishes Emergency Food Pantry at Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church where he supported his wife's leadership and community service. Visitation is on Friday, March 14th, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church's Fellowship Hall located at 4600 Old William Penn Highway, Murrysville PA. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, March 15th, at Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church and we invite you to stay for a luncheon following the service.
