Mary Ann Pope

Mary Ann (Romano) Pope, 74, of Monroeville passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. She was born August 27, 1946 in Pittsburgh; daughter of the late Angelo and Rose (Rossi) Romano. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Joan (Romano) Sampson. She loved her family and friends deeply and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with them, whether it was gathering for a home-cooked meal she prepared, playing cards, or simply sharing a few laughs. She will be missed greatly by her husband of 55 years, Richard; daughters, Sherrie (David) Baumgardner and Kimberly (Aaron) Noll; sisters, Anita (Joseph) Chajkowski and Rose Marie (Anthony) Marfisi; grandchildren, Adam (Jamie), Corey, Kasey, and Alex; and great-grandson, Vince. Visitation will be held at Hart Funeral Home Inc, Murrysville, on Sunday, July 18 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at Mother of Sorrows Church on Monday, July 19 at 1:00 p.m. and followed by a procession to Calvary Cemetery in Pittsburgh.  If desired, memorial contributions can be made to Mary Ann’s favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in her name.
