Mary Jo (Hill) Cefola

Mary Jo (Hill) Cefola 82, of Murrysville passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023.  She was born June 22, 1940, in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Hill.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and David Hill; and a sister, Darlene Gilboy.

Leaving her loving husband Dennis of 58 years, three wonderful daughters, Stacey (John) Miller, Denise (Brian) Guzik and Jennifer (David) Slike.  She has nine grandchildren, Dennis, Grant, Olivia, Natalie Miller, Gabriella, Taylor, Skye Guzik, Mia and David Slike.  Many nephews and nieces.

She was active in the church and school at Mother of Sorrows-President of Home School Association, President of the Ladies Guild.  She enjoyed playing cards, dominoes and tennis.  She also enjoyed watching the Pirates, Penguins and Steelers with her husband.  She enjoyed cooking, baking cookies and loved to shop.  She worked for Wilson Sporting Goods for 9 years, was the manager of Busy Day Gourmet and Co-Owner of Boardwalk Custard.

Most of all, she loved her loving husband, loved the high-spirited grandchildren and her three beautiful daughters and their kind husbands.  She also loved the many friends that kept her spirits up with much laughter.  Now she is on a journey that she has been looking forward to for a long time, meeting the Lord Jesus Christ and his Mother Mary.

Visitation Thursday, March 9, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Hart Funeral Home Inc., Murrysville.  Parting prayers will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville. Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery.
