Matthew Michael Valkovic

Matthew Michael Valkovic, 72, of Delmont, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 12, 2021 in Chicago, Illinois.  He was born October 15, 1949, in McKeesport, PA, son of the late Michael J. and Katherine Ratestic Valkovic.  Matthew was a long-time and devoted member of Mother of Sorrows Parish in Murrysville.  Since 2004, Matthew has been the Owner and President of Pirtek Monroeville.  Previously, he was an engineer for nearly 30 years at Westinghouse.  Matthew will be dearly missed by his wife of 42 years, Kathleen Murphy Valkovic; three children, Matthew (Stephanie) Valkovic, Patrick (Jennifer) Valkovic, Katie (Ricky) Watenpool; four grandchildren, Thomas, Andrew, Addison, and Emily; a sister, Katherine Valkovic; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.  A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 20, at Mother of Sorrows Parish, Murrysville.  The luncheon, welcome to all Matthew's friends and family, will be held immediately following at the Lamplighter Restaurant, Delmont.  Inurnment will be held privately at a later date at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the American Heart Association, or to the MS Society at www.nationalmssociety.org.   www.hartfuneralhomeinc.com.
