Fancy Nancy danced into the afterlife on September 29, 2024 singing, “Best believe I’m still bejeweled when I walk in the room, I can still make the whole place shimmer.”
A true light for 77 years, Nancy M. Strussion lived most of her life in Murrysville, Pa., daughter of the late Albert and Irene (Woynik) Mish. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Eugene “Gene” Strussion, who she dressed so well.
A lifelong shopping pro, Nancy was constantly gifting the cutest things to her friends and family. But her true gift was her unwavering friendship. So many could fight over the title of Nancy’s best friend, including her three daughters.
The fashionista was destined to be the mom of three girls. She taught them kindness and strength. She taught them to be selfless mothers. She taught them to sparkle.
No house better decorated, no grandkids more spoiled, no outfit unmatched from the shoes to the hat. To everyone’s envy, our dancing queen lived on sweets yet was so petite. Maybe it fueled her colorful soul? Maybe we should all eat more cake.
Nancy is surrounded by love both here and in spirit. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Len Mish; and a son-in-law, Robb Hanrahan. Nancy is survived by three daughters, Stacey (Jeremy Hoffman) Hanrahan, Amber Caskin, Kylie (Billy) Ross; eight grandchildren who were the true joys of her life; Hannah and Vann Hanrahan, Hayley, Mackenzie, and Corinne Caskin, Charley, Blake, and Colette Ross. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Tonya Mish and a niece, Jaime (Dan) Kirk.
On Saturday, October 5, 2024 the family will receive friends from 2-4pm at Hart Funeral Home, Inc., 3103 Lillian Avenue, Murrysville, Pa. A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at a later date with dancing, a cookie table and fabulous memories.
