Patricia G. (Lofink) Owens

Patricia G. Owens, 83, of Murrysville, passed away Monday, August 21, 2023, at UPMC East, Monroeville. She was born June 1, 1940, in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late John and Violet (Grayewski) Lofink. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Ellen (Raymond) Marinello. 

In her younger years, Patty was a secretary in the Physics department at CMU, a church secretary at Unity United Presbyterian Church, and other part-time jobs while caring for family. Over the years, she pursued a number of hobbies such as collecting antiques, cross stitching, knitting, and reading all sorts of books. She had a quick wit and a flair for recanting stories.

Patty will be dearly missed by her husband of 56 years, John Owens; her daughter, Heather (Greg) Smith; and her grandson, Josh Smith; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Hart Funeral Home, Inc. A Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be private at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. For online condolences, please visit www.hartfuneralhomeinc.com.
