Paul was one of the most intelligent men we knew, kind and quick witted. He and Toni seemed to enjoy life. Such a good example for all of us. Rest In Peace. See you later Paul!

Paul - you were much loved both as a boss and Director of the DLAR as well as a trusted friend & colleague. You treated your employees and people in general with kindness, courtesy and respect. I can still hear your hearty & good-natured laughter and patient voice in my mind - and of course, picture you in your trademark Safari jacket. Part of the DLAR "old-guard" - back when we were the CAF. You will be missed. Rest in peace my friend. Ed

Dr. Klein, Thank you very much for your kind words and for coming to help our family through this difficult time and honor Dad. Despite the circumstances, it was very nice to see and spend time with you and have my nephews and children hear how loved and respected their grandfather was by his friends and colleagues. Mom and our family are truly grateful!

Toni, hoping you will find comfort. Paul was such a conversationalist at the zoo special events that he worked with us as docents. He certainly made an impression when interacting with the zoo visitors.

Kathy, Thank you very much for your condolences. My Dad loved his docent work at the zoo and being able to share his knowledge of animals, as well as see the wonder in people's faces as they learned about them, especially the kids, who always reminded him of his grandchildren. Luckily, it looks like my mother is going to try and continue her involvement as her health has improved significantly in the past year. We hope that our family can continue honoring him through service to the zoo for years to come in some way or another.
