Pearl E. (Shannon) Smith

Pearl E. Smith, 81, of Murrysville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.  She was born June 3, 1940 in Charleroi, Pa, daughter of the late Vaneman Darrell and Mildred Dunlap Shannon.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Christine Smith in 1990.  Prior to retirement, Pearl was the co-owner of Busy Day Gourmet Restaurant/ Catering.  She also was a Culinary Arts Instructor at WCCC for over 30 years.  Pearl was very active in AAUW and Compassionate Friends, which had a special place in her heart. She was a member of the Murrysville Community Church for many years.  She was also a member of the Murrysville Kiwanis Club.  Pearl was an avid golfer.  She was a former member at Oakmont Country Club, and current member of Willowbrook Country Club.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, David A. Smith; two children, Kelly J. Rupprecht and Warren D.
