Phillip J. Villella, 80, of Murrysville, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at his home. He was born on January 25, 1945, in Pittsburgh, son of the late Peter and Elizabeth (Diana) Villella. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Adolph Villella and Peter Villella Jr.; his brother-in-law, Joseph Tierno; his father-in-law Matthew Zimmer, and his mother-in-law, Dorothy (Dapper) Zimmer.
Phil was a plasterer by trade. He worked for B.M. Bailey Plastering for many years and a few other companies. After retirement, he also worked for Disaster Restoration Services. He loved all the trips he made to North Myrtle Beach, S.C., Hilton Head Island, and many short trips to Lake Erie and Lancaster, PA.
Phil is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Linda (Zimmer) Villella, his sister, Mary Tierno, his niece, Maria Tierno, as well as several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Linda would like to thank UPMC Family Hospice, especially his nurses, Melanie, Jennifer, Sonya, and his aide, Kelly, for all the wonderful care they gave. They were a great support system for us. Phil was my rock and will be missed every single day.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Hart Funeral Home, Inc. A Blessing Service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Twin Valley Memorial Park.
