Ralph Clark Thompson Jr., 92 of Murrysville passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 28, 2023. He was born April 8, 1931 in Murrysville, Pa., son of the late Ralph Clark Thompson Sr. and Margaret Szabo Thompson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl Thompson, Robert Thompson and an infant brother, Joseph Thompson at birth; and a sister, Alice Moser. He has one remaining sister, Kathy Peacock.
Ralph was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a former member of the Export Moose Golf League for many years. He was also a member of Mother of Sorrows Parish, Murrysville. Ralph owned and operated Thompson Gear and Machine Inc., with his family working side by side. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. He was also an avid baseball fan and golfer.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Gilda (Restauri) Thompson; a son, Timothy (Pamela) Thompson; a daughter, Carrie (Daniel) Luko; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer (James) Kelly, Ashley (Matthew) Mason, Ryan Clark Jonov, Jillian R. (Anthony) Tutino, Colin Jonov (Marissa), and Daniel Luko; 8 great-grandchildren, Izabel, Sierra, and Spencer Kelly, and Caroline, Carter, Caden Mason, Sophia Tutino, and Mariana Jonov.
Visitation Wednesday, Jan 3, 2024 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hart Funeral Home Inc., Murrysville. Parting prayers will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. with a Funeral Mass at Mother of Sorrows Parish, Murrysville at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
