Raymond A. Feranchak, 93, of Murrysville, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at UPMC St. Margaret's Hospital. He was born October 5, 1930, in Youngstown, OH, son of the late Andrew and Catherine Feranchak. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Blotzer) Feranchak.
Ray was a retired electrical engineer at Westinghouse. He was a member of Mother of Sorrows parish where he served as a lector, choir member, and eucharistic minister. He was also a veteran of the US Army. Ray was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and served as Scoutmaster of the local Boy Scouts troop. In his younger days, he was an active member of the Sylvan Canoe Club.
Ray is survived by two sons, Drew (Elizabeth) Feranchak, Bret (Elisabeth) Feranchak; two grandchildren, Maya and Dante Feranchak.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mother of Sorrows School, 3264 Evergreen Drive, Murrysville, PA 15668. Visitation is from 2 to 4p.m. Monday, February 5, 2024, at Hart Funeral Home, Inc. Parting prayers will be held 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Mother of Sorrows Church.
