Raymond Tamburro, 85, of Murrysville, passed away Friday, October 20, 2023. He was born July 14, 1938, in Verona, Pa, son of the late Nicholas and Jennie Tamburro. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Rosemarie Kozier.
Prior to retirement, he was employed at Edgewater Steel Company in Oakmont where he started in 1956, the year he graduated from Verona High School. He was employed at Edgewater for 46 years, which included two years in the Armed Service. He retired in 2002 at the position of Marketing Manager, Ring Products. His position included business travel to most of the 50 states and also Canada and Mexico.
Ray was a member of Mother of Sorrows Parish, Murrysville, then later, Saint Richards in Gibsonia. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed many beach trips with the extended family. He enjoyed golfing with his golf league of many friends, occasional lunches and card playing with them. He was a model railroad enthusiast as well.
Ray is survived by his wife of 26 years, Polly Sue, daughters Wendy Moss, Linda Tamburro, son, David Tamburro; stepdaughters, Janet Griffis, Jennifer Hitzel, Alison Schlak, Kerry Karapandi, Heather Kadar; was blessed with 13 grandchildren, Samantha, Alexandra, Cameron, Lauren, David, Adam, Rachel, Richie, Erin, Nick, Ava, Jack, Ethan and four great-grandchildren, Ezekiel, Benjamin, Adeline and Parker; a brother, Joseph Tamburro.
