Raymond D. Valentine, 88, of Jeannette, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Forbes Hospital, Monroeville. He was born September 29, 1933, in North Braddock, PA, son of the late Ludwig and Susan Churba Valentine. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Alice (Steve) Kraycar. He was a eucharistic minister at Mother of Sorrows Church and was a veteran of the US Army. Prior to retirement, Ray was a Professional Engineer for Westinghouse for over 39 years. He was a member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed boating, fishing and was a pie maker. During the 1950s, he loved flying airplanes, as he had his private pilot’s license. Ray will be missed by his wife, Mary C. Russo Valentine, four children, Lisa R. (Carmen) Bauccio, Raymond D. (Celena) Valentine, Donald L. (Jeena) Valentine, Michelle (Allen) Nicholson; nine grandchildren, Anthony, Julia, Madison, Lucas, Timothy, Bailey, Colin, Sean and Megan, and three nephews. Visitation is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Hart Funeral Home, Inc., Murrysville. Additional visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Monday at Mother of Sorrows Church where a Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Good Shepherd Cemetery, Monroeville. www.hartfuneralhomeinc.com
