Richard W. Himelein

Richard W. “Rich” Himelein, 70, of Murrysville, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022, at his home, following a short battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born September 10, 1952, his youth was spent in Findley Lake, NY, son of the late William and Frances Emory Himelein. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, David L. and G. Vernon Himelein. 

Rich loved the outdoors, spending time camping, fishing, gardening and football. He was proud of the 36 years he was employed by UPMC Presbyterian Hospital as a stationary engineer, we "keep the building running smoothly" was his response when asked about his occupation.

Rich will be sadly missed by his wife, Ann Pettit Himelein; two children, Timothy and Eliza Himelein; a sister, Linda (Ernest) Roache, a brother, William (Kirsten Walker) Himelein, a sister-in-law, Joan Himelein and numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his close friends, with whom there were many escapades and good times.

Entrusted with arrangements is Hart Funeral Home, Inc., Murrysville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church toward upgrading their security system.
