Richard David Oskin, 71, of Murrysville, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at AHN Forbes Hospital, Monroeville of complications due to GPA/pulmonary fibrosis. He was born February 14, 1951, in New Kensington, son of Richard F. Oskin and the late Mildred Cashell Oskin. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by a brother, Emil Oskin and his father-in-law, Thomas Michels Sr.
Rich is a graduate of Plum High School and Penn State University. He spent the majority of his professional career as a Facilities Manager for FMS at local school districts including Franklin Regional, Bethel Park, Elizabeth Forward, Sto-Rox, Kiski Area, Penn Hills, Riverview, and Wilkinsburg. Rich loved his family, his friends, golf, baseball, history, and his home.
Rich will be forever missed by his loving wife of over 45 years, Sandra L. Michels Oskin; his beloved three children, Richard (Jessica) Oskin, Matthew (Jamie) Oskin, Stefanie (Christopher) Ruane; and Pappy's joy, seven grandchildren, Ella, Beatrice, Grant, Scarlett, Isaac, Leo and Mary. He is also survived by a brother, Cristopher Oskin; a sister, Iris (Donn) Clute; his mother-in-law, Mary Michels; two sisters-in-law, Lynn (John) DeSimone, Beth Youngo; two brothers-in-law, Tom (Chris) Michels Jr., and Dan (Tara) Michels, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hart Funeral Home, Inc. Murrysville. A Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville.
