Ronald G. Cupps

Ronald G. Cupps, 88, of Murrysville, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023, at his home. He was born May 13, 1935, in Philadelphia, son of the late Herbert and Helen (Gerhart) Cupps. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Judith Ann (Brennan) Cupps.

 Ron, known to most as “Pap”, retired from the active-duty US Army in 1963 as a Specialist Missile Crewman. This was followed by a 40+ year career at Robicon. His family was rooted in Murrysville PA beginning in 1963 when he built his house. Pap was always invested in the lives of his grandchildren and great grandchildren, attending as many events for them as he could. In his later years, Pap started every morning with a game of solitaire. He enjoyed trips to Walmart to ride around in the electric buggy and joke with strangers. When not spending time with his family and playing games of UNO, his evenings were spent watching Pittsburgh sports and old western movies.

 He is survived by two children, Randy (Cindee) Cupps, Susan Howard; five grandchildren, Melissa Cupps, Jennifer (Mark) Lookhart, Carrie (Jack) MacDonald, Amy Cupps, James Heffelfinger; seven great grandchildren, Christian, Jonathan, Brady, Bella, Abigail, Aliona and Mia; Niece Jill Brennan and numerous other nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2 to 4p.m and from 6 to 8p.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Hart Funeral Home, Inc. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at the funeral home.
