Roseann Erny

Roseann (Volpe) Erny, 84, of Murrysville, passed away to her eternal reward on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 after dealing with the continuing effects of Parkinson’s disease. She was born May 21, 1937, in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Stephen and Anna DiBuono Volpe. Roseann had a long career working at Carnegie Library, and both Duquesne and University of Pittsburgh Law Schools. After retiring from Pitt as an administrative assistant, she followed her passion for sewing and began a business doing alterations for her many customers. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 60 years, George W. Erny Jr.; daughter, Karen (Michael) Cardinale; granddaughter, Rosalia Cardinale; brother, Bernard (Kim) Volpe; sister, Maryjane Burns, an aunt, Josephine Peters; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hart Funeral Home, Inc., 3103 Lillian Ave. Murrysville. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville.  Interment will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
