Roseanne Sommer

Roseanne Sommer, 92, of Plum Boro, passed away Friday, September 9, 2022, at UPMC East, Monroeville. She was born March 11, 1930, in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Francis Joseph and Helen Loretta Loraine Romer Redigan. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of over 58 years, Arthur G. Sommer; a son, Jeffrey Sommer, and three sisters; her identical twin, RoseMarie, Ruth, and Eileen.

She sang old show tunes on the radio with her identical twin sister Rosemarie. She worked for Littles shoe store as a young adult. She was an avid reader. Enjoyed reading Danielle Steele and Agatha Christie.   Dedicated Wife and Homemaker raising her 5 children. Looked forward to Sunday dinners and spending time with her family. And was a congruent of Penn Hills Alliance Church for many years.

Roseanne is survived by four children, Daryl (Debbie) Sommer, Nancy (Dale) Stemmerich, Dean (Elizabeth) Sommer, and David Sommer; seven grandchildren, Jacob Sommer, David Sommer, Danielle Sommer, Jessica (Roy) Conrad, Shawn (Rebecca) Stemmerich, Heather Stemmerich, and Emily Sommer; three great-grandchildren, Noah, Alexis, and Rylee Hope. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Gigi Goldenson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held at Penn Hills Alliance Church, 7605 Saltsburg Road Pittsburgh, Pa 15235 on Friday, September 16, 2022. Visitation at 6:00pm Service at 6:30pm.
