Rosemary Palmer (Keener), 83, of Murrysville passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
Rosemary was born on June 25, 1941, in Homestead, PA, daughter of Delbert and Mary Keener.
In addition to her parents, Rosemary was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57
years Harold A. Palmer, her son, Harold A. Palmer, Jr., her grandson, Austin Palmer, siblings
Delbert (Butch) Keener, Joyce Kashuba, and Kathy & Dave McCluskey, brother-in-law and
sister-in law Stellios and Astrid Peponidis. Rosemary is survived by her two sons, Carl A.
Palmer of Murrysville, Mark A. (Stephanie) Palmer of Oakdale, and five grandchildren; Faith,
Alec, Mia, Derek and William. Also, survived by her siblings, Theodore (Carol) Keener, Joanne
(David) Burket, Linda Wunder and numerous nieces and nephews. Rosemary loved to help people
and was an active member of Murrysville Medic One for many years. Even more, she
cherished spending time with her family, whether it was volunteering for her sons’ activities or
spending time with her grandchildren. Always thinking and caring about her family, she made
sure they had everything they needed most importantly her love anytime she got a chance.
Rosemary loved giving her love and time and took great joy in giving gifts in fun and creative
ways. It was not surprising to receive an “as seen on TV” gift that you would not buy for yourself
but really needed or a small gift that was wrapped in box after box until you got to the end.
Walking into her home, you were always met with anything and everything you wanted to eat.
Her potato salad was probably her signature dish but you would never catch her without a
vegetable, fruit and shrimp tray! Ice cream was her favorite and a DQ was always in her freezer.
She loved to shop and after having three boys, had such great pleasure buying her
grand-daughters dresses and clothes, and she adored her grandsons more than anything. She
loved to have her yard decorated with fun figurines and decorations. When she wasn’t
meticulously labeling names in her family‘s clothing or on their belongings , she was sending
back her soup because it wasn’t hot enough. Rosemary was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran
Church. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 4pm to 8pm at Hart Funeral Home
Inc, in Murrysville. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 10am at
