Samuel S. Free

Samuel S. Free, 95, of Murrysville, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022, at Redstone Highlands, Murrysville. He was born July 29, 1927, in Pittsburgh, son of the late John and Mary Glenn Free. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Free.

Sam was raised in the city of Pittsburgh and served in the Navy during World War II. After discharge, he completed his B.S. in finance at Duquesne University. He was the owner of Foedisch & Free Inc., a local insurance agency. Sam enjoyed golfing at Alcoma Golf Club and vacations at Hilton Head Island.

Sam will be missed by two sons, Douglas (Jacqueline) Free and Gary (Lorraine) Free; three grandchildren, Jenny (Rob) Free, John (Jen) Free and David Free; and four great grandchildren, Joey Comella, Tatiana Free, Ryder Free and Kellan Free.
