Sarah J. Watt, 80, of Murrysville, passed away peacefully December 29, 2025, at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville. She was born November 7, 1945, in Murrysville, daughter of the late Robert E. and Anna (Mastorovich) Watt. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, RoseAnn “Posie” Ladick, and Mary Margaret ‘Peggy” Watt.
A lifelong resident of Murrysville, Sarah “Skip” began her working career in retail at Thorofare Grocery and Shop & Save, she often told stories about past customers. She later spent many years in the manufacturing industry before retiring. Skip was always willing to talk and often “held court” in her kitchen, gathered around the counter with family and friends. She could also be found at that same counter painting her nails—always some shade of pink—watching Downton Abbey or laughing on the phone with friends. She loved to laugh.
She was a devoted member of Cornerstone Church and took great pride in serving on the food pantry team. Her faith in God brought her peace in her final years. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her brother, Robert M. (Debbie) Watt; her two nieces, Rebekah L. (Joseph) Moss, and Jessica L. (Steven) Burks; her great-nieces, Gianna M. Moss and Sophia P. Moss; and her great-nephews, Caden R. Burks and Grady E. Burks.
Services will be private. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Cornerstone Ministries Mission Fund, www.lifewithcornerstone.com.
