Stanley R. Bramham, 95, of Murrysville, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at UPMC East. He was born April 20, 1927, in Shipley, Yorkshire, England, son of the late Sydney and Winifred Pitt Bramham.
Stanley (Pappa) was employed by Westinghouse Electric where he worked as a Patent Attorney for 24 years. He was a lover of nature and especially enjoyed hiking the mountains in Maine with his family. Pappa reached the summit of Mt. Katahdin in Baxter State Park (northern terminus of The Appalachian Trail) in Maine by way of The Knife Edge Trail on several occasions, his last trip being in his mid to late 80’s. Pappa loved the sounds of Big Band, the game of bridge of which he was awarded the title of Life Master, tennis, old black and white movies, theater, as well as history and politics. He was an avid reader, one who often times was reading several books at one time. Pappa most of all enjoyed the times spent with family as he was a true family man. He will be truly missed by his family but never forgotten. He will live within our hearts forever.
Stanley is survived by three children, Alison (Steve Bailey) Bramham, Clive (Anne) Bramham, Vanessa (Alan) Seba; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and his ex-wife and dear friend, Sissel Bramham Breen. At Stanley's request, there will be no visitation or services.
