Steven W. Carter, 44, passed away unexpectedly May 23, 2024, in his home with his dog by his side. He is survived by his mother, Susan Carter, and his sister, Elizabeth. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Melvin and Janet Carter, and Thomas and Bernice Duffett; his father, Wayne R. Carter; and his cousin, Lance Duffett.
Steven was a 1998 graduate of Greensburg Salem High School. He obtained the status of Eagle Scout through Greensburg Boy Scout Troop 419, and was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Delmont PA. He graduated from Penn State University in 2002. He played saxophone in the Penn State Blue Band and enjoyed going to the Penn State Football games for many years post-graduation.
He was a paralegal in the city of Pittsburgh where he lived, and enjoyed archeology, astronomy, and cooking.
He loved his animal companions, cats, Agnes and Magnus, and his loyal dog, Kona.
