Susan J. Munson

Susan J. (Trone) Munson, 75, formerly of Murrysville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 17, 2023. She was born January 13, 1948, in York PA, daughter of the late Ray and Martha  (Emig) Trone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James, daughter Elizabeth, and sister Rebecca Trone. Susan is survived by her two daughters; Melissa (Douglas) Moore of Murrysville, and Kristin Garland of South Carolina and four grandsons; Andrew, Matthew, Benjamin and Jacob.  She also leaves behind four brothers and two sisters; Ray (Karen) Trone, Tom (Joye) Trone, Gloria (George) Myers, Nancy (Rodney) Gross, John Trone, Kirk (Shelly) Trone, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to being a loving mother and grandmother, Sue was also a graduate of the University of PIttsburgh and spent many years working with senior citizens. She cherished spending time with friends and family, especially her beloved grandchildren who always brought a smile to her face. She enjoyed traveling, baking and giving back to her community by volunteering for the various Murrysville Parks and as an Ombudsmen, advocating for the elderly.
