Suzanne Wiesner Lonabaugh, 81, of Murrysville, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025, at Brookdale Murrysville. She was born on November 2, 1944, in Greenfield, daughter of the late Frank and Alice (Daffern) Wiesner. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Wiesner and Ronald F. Wiesner, and a great-nephew, Samuel Gorseth.
Sue worked for Westinghouse Research and Development in Churchill for over thirty years as a graphic designer and was also a volunteer for Murrysville Medic One. For the past ten years, she was a hostess at the Wooden Nickel restaurant in Monroeville. Her interests included trapshooting, she was an ATA trapshooting champion, and dog show competitions. She was especially proud of her Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show Vizsla Grand Champion, “Kato”.
Sue is survived by her beloved husband, David F. Lonabaugh of Murrysville; sisters-in-law, Joan Wiesner, Mary Lou Rilee, and Deanna (Wayne) Lonabaugh; nieces and nephews, Ron (Alice) Wiesner of Cranberry Township, Kimberly Wiesner Gorseth of Seven Fields, Michelle (Mark) Sumption of Frederick, South Dakota, and Mark (Amber) Wiesner of Lewis Center, Ohio; her nine great-nieces and great-nephews, Tanner, Hannah, Sophie, Lizzy, Morgan, McKenna, Leah, Nate, and Ryan, and her best friends, her dogs, Chip and Razal.
Visitation for Sue will be on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Hart Funeral Home, Inc., Murrysville. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Humane Society of Westmoreland County, www.westmorelandhumanesociety.com, or the American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org, in Sue’s name.
