Thomas Wisilosky Obituary

Thomas Michael Wisilosky, 95, of North Washington Township, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Canterbury Place in Pittsburgh.  He was born June 8, 1931, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Michael Martin and Elizabeth Goldie Mae (Patterson) Wisilosky.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Viola Ruth (McCracken) Wisilosky, his sister, Ethel Blatt, and his infant brother, Frankie Wisilosky.

Tom was a man of great faith who was loved by many. He was a talented musician, craftsmen and “real charmer” with his boyish smile and friendly demeanor. He was married to Viola (McCracken) Wisilosky for 64 years before her passing in May of 2023.

Thomas graduated from Connellsville High School and served in the Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He worked in electronic equipment repair for McGraw Edison and Rockwell International, and trainer / assistant manager for the European Health Spas. His passion was in the field of health and fitness training which inspired him to own a health food store, Scandinavian Health Foods in Greentree. With great passion, he pursued a dream to open a health spa in Indiana County. He incorporated the Scandinavian Health Center.

Second to his passion for health and fitness, Thomas enjoyed composing music and studio mixing of varied recording formats. He loved listening to music on his reel to reel player; playing guitar, organ and harmonica.

Thomas is survived by his three children, Melanie (David) Hansen, Michele (David) Parsonage, and Jeffrey (Lisa) Wisilosky; his five grandchildren, Kristen (Emil) DiBello, Joshua (Amanda) Hansen, Tyler Parsonage, William Parsonage, and Ashley Hansen; his two great-grandchildren, Braden DiBello and Gwendolyn DiBello; his four sisters-in-law; his brother-in-law; as well as several nieces and nephews.
