My condolences to Vince and his family. I went to grade school and high school with Vince.  Together with Lou Stepanik and me we played for weddings and private clubs for years in a band called Horizon.   Vince was an excellent drummer. I’m pleased he went on to study music in college. I’m sorry we never had the opportunity to see each other throughout the years. Rest In Peace Vince.

Don't know what happened to my original post. Vince and I spent many long hours doing outage work in Northern Illinois. He was one of the hardest workers I ever worked with. He was a perfectionist with his work and set the bar really high for others.. God has gained another Angel. I pray that God will wrap his family in his loving arms and give them comfort as they grieve.

Although I had only gotten to meet Vince in person once I felt I’ve known him for a much longer time. Through his band mates Chris, Zane, Curtis, Denny and Gary he was legendary. I finally got a chance to jam with him at West Liberty University and it was great. All of the stories were true. A very cool and sweet guy as well. God bless you Kathy and the rest of your family. I am so sorry you had to say goodbye so soon.

My sympathy to your family.  It was a shock to hear of his passing. I knew Vince from the music dept. at West Liberty.  So glad he had a reunion with all his Jazzmin buddies before his passing.  Vince was a great guy!

Vince was not only a great friend, he was an incredible musician.

We played together in a band called “Jazzmin” and shared a dream of one day making it big with our names in the marquee lights.

Although that never quite turned out the way we planned, there’s a special closeness that comes from sharing a dream with someone... whether it comes true or not.

Although Vince is now on a journey we must all someday take, it’s a tremendous shock when the departure is so sudden...so unannounced.  It’s a solemn reminder to all of us that each day is precious...and to not sweat the small stuff.

I will always have a special place in my heart for Vince Ciampa, cherishing each and every memory we made together. God rest your soul my dear friend, and until we meet again, thanks for making me a better player...

All my love, prayers, and energy to Kathy and Vince’s loved ones…

Denny
