Vincent Gasparro, 94, of Murrysville, formerly of Verona, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 at Redstone Highlands, Murrysville.  He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Dolores Pastoria Gasparro and his extended family.  He was born February 18, 1927, in Pittsburgh, son of the late Angelo and Anna Yalenti Gasparro.  He was a veteran of the US Army, having served in Germany during WWII and was a member of Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville.  His devotion to the catholic church included his service as an usher for St. Joseph Church and he also attended St. Paul’s Monastery retreat in Southside yearly.  Prior to retirement, he was a Drafting Supervisor for Westinghouse.  He was the “Exhaulted Ruler” for Oakmont Elks and was a passionate woodworker.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his three brothers, Frances “Todd”, Michael and Richard; and a son-in-law, Glenn Mavrodis.  His extended family include three children, Barbara (Dave) Deer of Harrison City, Michael (Deborah) Gasparro of Coto de Caza, CA, Julie (James Fontana) Mavrodis of Murrysville; four grandchildren, David Deer, Michael (Tracy) Deer, Kathryn Gasparro and Mathew Gasparro; four great grandchildren, Shawn, Alannah, Nicholas and Alex as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Services are private.  Interment is in Plum Creek Cemetery. www.hartfuneralhomeinc.com
