Vito Toscano

Vito Toscano, 86, of Salem Twp., passed away Monday, January 24, 2022, at UPMC East. He was born August 27, 1935, in Binetto, Bari, Italy, son of the late Giuseppe and Angela Rutigliano Toscano. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Maria Toscano and a brother, John Toscano. Prior to retirement, he was Owner and Operator of Toscano Garden Center and Landscaping for over 40 years alongside his wife, Maria. His passion for gardening led him to gift the fruits of his labor to family and friends. He enjoyed watching Italian soccer, the Flinstones and Saved by the Bell. He was a member of St. John de la Salle Church. Vito will be missed by two children, Joe (Shannon) Toscano and Angela Toscano; a granddaughter, Alyssa Toscano; a sister, ArcAngela Martoscia and a brother, Rito Toscano; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hart Funeral Home, Inc., Murrysville. A Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John de la Salle Church, Delmont. Entombment will follow at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. www.hartfuneralhomeinc.com.
