Wayne Emerick Sr.

Wayne Emerick Sr., 82, of Trafford, PA, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Forbes Hospital, Monroeville. He was born September 1, 1938 in Patton Twp, son of the late Lester and Ethel Sadler Emerick. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Janet Soles; brother and sisters, Helen, Stanley and Betty. Prior to retirement, he was a Custodial Supervisor for Gateway School District. He was a member of Murrysville Alliance Church and was a veteran, having served in the US Army. After his retirement Wayne became an avid golfer and enjoyed many rounds with family and friends including at his “golfing camp” in Florida during the winter season. He also never missed an opportunity to attend his grandchildren’s  activities and sporting events. Wayne will be dearly missed by his wife of over 33 years, Joyce Martin Emerick; three sons, Wayne (Jeanne) Emerick, Bill (Lisa) Emerick, Bob (Kelly) Emerick; nine grandchildren, Zachary Emerick, Amanda (Matt) Martin, Gina (Brian) Weiser, Billy (and fiancé Alex) Emerick, Josh (Megan) Murray, Caroline (Eric) Wilson, Cody, Noah and Tristan Emerick; six great-grandchildren, Will, Chase, Jackson, Gianna, Ava and Pamela; numerous nieces and nephews.
