William W. “Bill” Zimmerman Sr., 91, of Irwin, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at his home. He was born August 5, 1931, in Pittsburgh, son of the late James and Catherine Greer Zimmerman. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his 10 brothers and sisters, Clarence, Russell, George, Eddie, James, Sarah, Margaret, Jessie, Myrtle, and Wilda.
Prior to retirement, Bill was a Truck Driver for over 52 years, and was known as “Clutchie”. He was also honored as a legend in his time. He was an avid reader, and especially enjoyed sharing his love of history with his grandson. He also liked talking to his son Bill about the new television shows that were coming on. When he wasn’t driving truck, he enjoyed sitting on his porch, watching game shows and having breakfast with his buddies.
Bill will be missed by his beloved wife of 56 years, Geraldine “Gerry” Remic Zimmerman; his daughter, Kathleen Razey; his son, William W. Zimmerman Jr. and his grandson, Joshua Razey. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the family. A Funeral Mass will be held 12:30 p.m. Friday at St. Barbara Roman Catholic Church, Harrison City. Please meet directly at church.
