Pre-Arrangements

 Pre-arranging can be done in steps. You can do as much, or as little as you want. Pre-planning can alleviate some stress and decision making for your loved ones. Pre-planning can be done without pre-paying. This means putting all of your information down on paper and kept on file at the funeral home so that your wishes will be met. 

Get educated and be prepared. Decide what type of funeral arrangements you would like to have, such as burial vs. cremation, church service or service in the funeral home, etc. This would be kept on file and changes can be made at a later time. 

Avoid emotional over spending. Take your time making decisions. 

Lastly, you can decide if pre-paying is beneficial for your individual situation. Pre-payment will protect your final expenses from medicaid spend-down.
