Carl “Carlie” Lambert Hentschel, 85 of Murrysville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 28, 2021.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ann (Apelquist) Hentschel; loving dad of Cherlyn (Sean) Davis of Saltsburg, Jeffrey (Amanda) Hentschel of Murrysville, and Debra (Terry) Donahue of Wexford.  A loving Pappy Goofy to ten grandchildren, Jessica Sciullo, Heather Freuchtel, Chad Freuchtel, Ryan Hentschel, Travis Hentschel, Carlie Donahue, Cayla Donahue, Colin Donahue, Jordaan Hentschel & Kelsey Hentschel; as well as nine great grandchildren.  Carlie proudly served in the Strategic Air Command of the United States Air Force.  A devoted member of several clubs and organizations; including a Life Long member of the Murrysville Fire Department, Masonic Lodge, and the Irwin Moose.  By trade, Carlie worked for 40 years as a heavy equipment mechanic for Beckwith Machinery in Murrysville and was a union member of the local 66 Operating Engineers.  Carlie attended Murrysville Alliance Church and always looked forward to The Blessing of the Bikes.  Carlie enjoyed hunting, riding his Harley, and spending his free time at camp, “his happy place” with family and friends.  He was known by many and loved by all.  He will be dearly missed.  Carlie’s wish was to have no visitation or services.
