Dr. David L. Burghard

Dr. David L. Burghard, 76, of Export, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021.  He was born July 26, 1945 in Berkley Michigan, son of the late John F. and Helen Duncan Burghard.  Prior to retirement, David owned and operated Werntz Memorial Animal Hospital in Penn Hills from 1971 to 2014.  David served our country as Captain in the U. S Army Veterinary Corps during the Vietnam Era.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, MaryAnn Stask Burghard; a sister, Vicki Vickre, of Temperance Michigan; and a nephew, Curt Vickre also of Temperance Michigan.  David is also survived by his beloved and faithful Labrador, Stella.  If desired memorial contributions may be made to Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley 730 Church Street, New Kensington, PA 15068 in David’s name.
