Robert J. Merryman, 93 of Murrysville passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 10, 2021, surrounded by family, while watching the Masters Golf Tournament.  He was born October 4, 1927 in East Pittsburgh, son of the late Charles and Teresa Balla Merryman.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Eleanor M. Merryman; and two son-in-laws, Woody Joe and Timothy Tribou.  Robert served our country in the United States Army during WWII.  Then went on to Penn State where he received his degree in Commerce and Finance.  While attending Penn State he became a member of Kappa Delta Rho and chartered the Alpha Kappa Psi professional business fraternity.  Throughout his career, he worked in purchasing and assumed leadership roles for various companies, including Westinghouse.  During his retirement, he started his own custom golf club business, with his long-time neighbor and friend, Bill Moorhead.  When he wasn’t building golf clubs, he could be found on the course.  As faith was of utmost importance, Robert attended Murrysville Alliance Church.  He is survived by his two daughters, Karen L. (Jeffrey) Kramer of Level Green, and Deborah A. Tribou of Murrysville; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Craig) Myers, Gwen (Eric) Dean, Megan Joe, and Tayler (Brandon) Tribou; six great grandchildren, Addison and Callen Myers, Ethan and Isaac Dean, and Gianna and Elleah Pals.  He is also survived by a brother, Pastor Ronald (Sandra) Merryman and several nieces and nephews.  Visitation Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Hart Funeral Home Inc., Murrysville.  Funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, April 16 in the funeral home with Pastor Dan Lawrence officiating.  Interment will follow at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont with Military Honors accorded by the U.S. Army.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans (www.dav.org) in Robert’s name.
