I just found out about Jack’s passing and though saddened, many fond memories of him came flooding back. I and many others worked with Jack at Weinman Pump. He was great with technical matters and taught us solutions to problems while making sure we learned enough to be able to solve the problem ourselves in the future.
He also could use a great sense of humor to get control of a difficult situation, i.e. when a factory manager would be going crazy when a machine wasn’t running, he would say something like “Do you want to solve the problem or become part of it ?”
He had many sayings like that. I know I owe Jack a lot and my life is better for having known him.

I always liked Jack and related to him perhaps because both of use were nerdy engineers. We also talked about sailing and skiing, and in later years the aging process which we all face. I'm going to miss him, and thought of him as he was in his earlier days shortly after he passed, where I had a sense that he was still with us in-spirit, an experience I've had before when other people I knew passed. I'm sure Jack is in a good place now, and wish the family the best adjusting to this difficult loss.
