Teresa Marie (Hagan) Bonk “Terri”, age 93, of Export passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018.  She was born on May 29, 1925 in Uniontown, PA, daughter of the late Thomas and Katheryn (Dynes) Hagan.  After graduating from high school in 1942, she moved to Washington, DC and worked as a clerk for the FBI during the WWII years.  While in DC, Terri shared the upper floor of a family boarding house with her sister, Alice, and three cousins.  Although times were tough during the war years, Terri was young and carefree and went to USO dances every Sunday night.  A church bus sponsored travel to cities in Maryland and Virginia for those dances. Terri remembered “dancing her legs off” and waking up so tired on Monday mornings.  Terri relocated to Philadelphia when her sister married and worked as a secretary for Westinghouse Electric Corporation where she met and married the love of her life, Joseph J. Bonk, Sr. She worked for 18 years and then became a homemaker when her children were born.  Due to job relocation, they moved to Murrysville in 1973.  Terri was an avid bridge player all her life and belonged to many couples and ladies bridge groups.  For many years, she volunteered at Forbes Regional Hospital and Murrysville Meals on Wheels.  Terri will be greatly missed by her children, Mary Kay (Wally Trynock) Pavis of Export, PA, and Joseph J. “Jay” (Cindy) Bonk Jr. of Lewes, DE; her grandchildren, Kelsey Bonk, Justin (Hannah) Pavis, Alexa Bonk, and Jennifer Pavis.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, but was especially close to her nieces, Jean Cappello, Wendy Weller and Joyce Mailhouse.  In her later years, Terri was skillfully aided by many caregivers including Michelle Shaffer, Ricki Sterf, and Kathy and Katie Antonucci whose kind assistance and round the clock support provided her much comfort until her passing.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, and six sisters and one brother; Agnes McGee (Leo), Isabelle Chaplin (Ross), Helen Garbart (Paul), Winifred Gallagher (Don), Ann Schuh (Ed), Alice Weller (Bill), and Frank Hagan (Pat).  Terri and her husband loved to travel and enjoyed many memorable vacations to places in the US, Canada, Europe, Central America and Asia.  Terri was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who loved her family above all.  Her humor and good nature will be greatly missed.  Visitation will be at the Hart Funeral Home, 3103 Lillian Ave, Murrysville, PA 15668 on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. with a prayer vigil at 7 p.m.  A funeral mass is scheduled for Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Export, PA.  Interment will follow at Twin Valley Memorial Park Delmont, PA.
